Auto Suppliers to Shine in Seraph’s Operational Excellence Awards

By: Lisa DiFalco, Marketing Brand Ambassador, Seraph

If you’re looking for recognition – and who isn’t? – consider applying for Seraph’s Operational Excellence Awards. Entries are being accepted through March 8, 2024.

Are you an automotive supplier that is achieving great things within your plant operations?

The Operational Excellence Awards program was created by Seraph, a global enterprise consulting firm, to celebrate excellence in automotive manufacturing across North America.

The awards aim to recognize outstanding automotive manufacturing facilities in North America across five categories: quality, operations, human resources, logistics and overall. The award competition provides an opportunity for suppliers to highlight their accomplishments and to be recognized among their peers for achieving excellence within their plant operations.

“The purpose of these awards is to promote and encourage the expansion of manufacturing in North America, considering the increased risks in the supply chain due to globalization. To achieve this, we must continually improve, identify ‘model areas,’ and develop best practices in the industry,” said Thomas Kowal, President of Seraph North America.

Last year’s winners affirmed that going through the awards process was a positive and motivational experience. The 2023 winners were:

  • Best Overall Supplier Excellence Award: Shiloh – Saltillo, MX
  • Overall Runner-up and Logistics Excellence Award: Bodycote – San Luis Potosi, MX
  • Operations Excellence Award: ARaymond – Rochester Hills, MI
  • Human Resources Excellence Award: Rayconnect – Rochester Hills, MI
  • Quality Excellence Award: Stanadyne – Jacksonville, NC

Who Should Apply

Automotive Tier 1 and 2 suppliers, including automotive aftermarket manufacturers, that have a plant(s) operation in North America that is achieving great things in one of four (or more) areas: operations, logistics, human resources, and quality.

Each plant applying is a single application, so multiple plant locations from the same company can apply.  When applying you are considered for all awards, and your ranking among your peers is based on your overall scoring.

Plants that are interested in applying should be at a minimum level of 80% operating equipment effectiveness (OEE).

It’s absolutely free to apply… with tremendous upside in terms of recognition, publicity and promotional support if your plant is selected for an award. Receiving an award means that your plant is achieving great things.
