‘Outstanding Achievement’ Earns Bianchi Public Relations, Inc. Two MarCom Creative Awards

Posted Oct. 25th 2004

TROY, Mich., Oct. 25, 2004 – In recognition of exceeding a high standard of excellence, Bianchi Public Relations, Inc. recently received two MarCom Creative Awards for its work on behalf of the Children’s Home of Detroit (CHD) and Cornerstone Community Financial (CCF). CHD’s “Connecting the Dots Shoe Box Press Kits” earned the agency a Platinum Award and CCF’s “Checkbook Media Advisory” garnered a Gold Award.

“These two prestigious awards recognize the creative work of our account teams and the faith that our dedicated clients place in us,” said Bianchi PR Vice President and Partner Richard J. Donley. “Clients look to our agency for strategic counsel, and we deliver with expertise and creativity that exceed their expectations.”

According to MarCom, the 2004 international awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communications practitioners. Entries are judged by industry professionals who award companies and individuals whose talent and work set industry benchmarks. This year’s competition had 3,344 entries from the United States and several other countries.

Bianchi PR’s pro-bono work on behalf of the CHD, which partnered with the Heidelberg Project for the “Connecting the Dots” Program, earned the agency a Platinum Award for excellence in quality, creativity and resourcefulness. The Shoe Box Press Kits were developed using original artwork created by adolescent girls from the CHD who participated in a weekly art program. The kits generated positive coverage and response from the media, as well as allowed the girls to learn about public relations and actively contribute to the efforts of increasing program awareness.

The public relations agency also received a Gold Award for the “Checkbook Media Advisory” created on behalf of CCF. To introduce journalists to the Auburn Hills, Mich.-based credit union and position its chief executive officer as a credible industry source, Bianchi PR distributed a media advisory in the form of a customized checkbook. This piqued the interest of reporters and generated recognition for the credit union.

The MarCom Creative Awards program is part of The Communicator Awards, one of the largest, oldest and most respected competitions in the communications field. This international competition is for marketing and communications professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual and audio materials.
