Bianchi Public Relations and PPG Shine with Silver Award at APRC ‘Excellence in PR’ Awards Competition

TROY, Mich., April 25, 2006 – Bianchi Public Relations, Inc. and its client, PPG Industries, were honored recently with a silver award for excellence in consumer media relations at the fifth annual Automotive Public Relations Council (APRC) Excellence in Automotive PR Awards competition. The award was presented at the APRC annual spring conference at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Mich.

“We are delighted to be recognized again by the APRC for helping PPG Industries secure another award for its consumer media relations efforts,” said agency President James A. Bianchi. “This award demonstrates PPG’s dedication to excellence and our commitment to exceeding our clients’ expectations.”

The award-winning program was a strategic media relations effort surrounding PPG Industries’ 2005 Global Automotive Color Show, designed to increase media coverage and raise awareness of the expertise and technologies of PPG’s Automotive OEM Coatings Division.

The APRC Excellence in Automotive PR Awards are designed to help identify programs that have successfully addressed an automotive-related public relations issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. The annual awards honor complete public relations agendas that incorporate sound research, planning, execution and evaluation. This year’s competition featured a record number of entries.
