TROY, Mich., Nov. 15, 2005 – Bianchi Public Relations, Inc. announced today that it has received two MarCom Creative Awards for its work on behalf of PPG Industries and the Children’s Home of Detroit (CHD). PPG’s “Ethos 2 – 2004 Color Show” program was awarded a Platinum Award and CHD’s “Let’s Ride for CHD Kids” press kits garnered the agency a Gold Award.

According to MarCom, the 2005 international awards competition honors excellence and recognizes the creativity and hard work of marketing and communications practitioners. Entries are judged by industry professionals who award companies and individuals whose talent and work set industry benchmarks. This year’s competition had 4,613 entries from the United States and several other countries.

“These awards recognize the ingenuity of our client account teams and their dedication to exceed client expectations,” said Bianchi PR Vice President and Partner Richard J. Donley. “We are proud of our employees’ hard work, originality and expertise and their focus on generating results for clients.”

Bianchi PR’s work on behalf of PPG Industries earned the agency a Platinum Award for excellence in quality, creativity and resourcefulness. The program focused on the strategic media relations efforts surrounding “Ethos 2 – 2004 Color Show.” The program was designed to increase media coverage and raise awareness of the expertise and technologies of PPG’s Automotive OEM Coatings Division.

The public relations agency also won a Gold Award for the “Let’s Ride for CHD Kids” press kits created on behalf of CHD. Using their imaginations and creativity, the children of CHD took part in the development process by decorating the boxes with anything that reminded them of motorcycles. The one-of-a-kind press kit boxes housed the press kit materials and helped in the publicity efforts for this first-time fund-raising event.

The MarCom Creative Awards program is part of The Communicator Awards, one of the largest, oldest and most respected competitions in the communication field. This international competition is for marketing and communications professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual and audio materials.
