TROY, Mich., April 28, 2005 – In recognition for exceeding a high standard of performance, Bianchi Public Relations, Inc. and its client, PPG Industries, were honored today with the first place award for Excellence in Consumer Media Relations at the fourth annual Automotive Public Relations Council (APRC) Excellence in Automotive PR Awards competition. The award was presented at the APRC annual spring conference at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Mich.

The award-winning program was a strategic media relations effort surrounding the “PPG Industries’ 2004 Color Show: Ethos 2,” designed to increase media coverage and raise awareness of the expertise and technologies of PPG’s Automotive OEM Coatings Division.
The APRC Excellence in Automotive PR Awards are designed to help identify programs that have successfully addressed an automotive-related public relations issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. The annual awards honor complete public relations agendas that incorporate sound research, planning, execution and evaluation. This year’s competition featured a record number of entries.
