TROY, Mich., April 5, 2010 – For the second consecutive year, Bianchi Public Relations is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity Oakland County to help promote the nonprofit’s annual “Business Builds Hope” campaign.
“We’re glad to donate our talent and time to Habitat for Humanity again this year,” said James Bianchi, president of the PR firm. “We look forward to helping the organization raise awareness – and support – to help expand affordable housing opportunities in Oakland County.”
“Business Builds Hope” brings together Habitat for Humanity volunteers, family partners and local businesses to build affordable housing for those in need. Last year, more than 40 corporations participated. The 2010 build, which takes place in August, will focus on the Ferry Farms neighborhood in Pontiac – an area already home to many Habitat family partners.
“Nissan and Daimler – our two largest sponsors last year – have signed on to support us again this year,” said Brad Irwin, director of partnerships for Habitat Oakland. “There is an inherent desire to give back to the community and corporations see the value in making their communities better, safer places to live and work.”
Bianchi PR will assist the non profit with media relations surrounding build events, including the groundbreaking ceremony, build weeks, dedication ceremony and business networking event. The firm will also help promote the Business Builds Hope Executive Chairs and Emerging Leadership Council – business executives and managers who serve as advocates for Habitat for Humanity and affordable housing in Oakland County.
Habitat for Humanity Oakland County was established in 1994. Since then, over 20,000 donors and volunteers have built approximately 100 homes for more than 300 people. Habitat for Humanity concentrates its work in Oakland County on neighborhood transformation in Pontiac. For more information, visit www.habitatoakland.org.
